Dr Ion Bogdan Codorean — President of the Medical Committee of the Romanian Football Federation

Three weeks ago, the Medical Committee of the Romanian Football Federation held its first meeting.

Confirmed at the Executive Committee meeting of the Romanian Football Federation in July 2015, the members of the new Anti-Doping and Medical committees met on 17 September 2015 at the Casa Fotbalului for a first session.

The members of the two federal committees set out their short- and medium-term objectives and drew up a calendar of future meetings, along with a plan of action covering information and education as well as guidance for sporting and medical activity with the national squads and at the Tricolor11 Centres of Excellence in Târgu Mureș and Timișoara.

The medical committee is made up of:

President: Assist. Prof. Dr Ion Bogdan CODOREAN – Consultant in Orthopaedics and Traumatology

Vice-President: Dr Pompiliu POPESCU – Consultant

Vice-President: Dr Mihai MEIU – Specialist in Sports Medicine

Member: Assoc. Prof. Dr Liviu CHIRIAC – Consultant Cardiologist

Member: Dr Sebastian DIACONESCU – Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine

Member: Dr Șerban DAMIAN – Sports Nutritionist

Member: Dr Olivia TIMNEA – Consultant in Sports Medicine

Member: Dr Flavian ARĂMITU (FCSB) – Specialist

Secretary: Dr Adrian NICA – Specialist in Sports Medicine
